Chad is the founding pastor of Foundry. He loves loud rock and roll, the outdoors, and cowboy boots. Married to Meredith Brooks since 2005, he grew up in Alexandria but has called Monroe home for the last 7 years. The Louisiana Conference of the United Methodist Church called Chad and Meredith to start Foundry in 2014
Chad has a BA in Sociology from Louisiana Tech with a research focus in the American Culture of Heroes. He also earned a Master of Divinity in 2011 from Asbury Theological Seminary with a focus on post-critical theology and American religious culture. He planned on pursuing further education and teaching at the doctoral level before realizing his love for the local church and a deep desire to connect people to Jesus who have previously struggled with faith and church. It was through the prayers of many that Foundry was dreamed as a church that would reach people with the vision of Jesus is Big Enough and to be a church that thoroughly fits into our modern world while pointing people to the timeless reality of Jesus as their savior.
Chad was ordained as an elder in the United Methodist Church in 2015 and loves being the pastor of Foundry. Chad also coaches other leaders across the country in church planting and strategic ministry design.
Chad and Meredith have a 13 lb Dachshund named Emma that runs their whole life. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, the outdoors, great cigars and hopes to find Bigfoot one day.
